NuvoDesk Coworking is committed to creating and maintaining a secure, professional, and productive environment. The Guest Policy establishes clear expectations and procedures for members and their guests, fostering safety, privacy, and a positive experience for everyone.
Guest Check-In Procedure
Daily Guest Access
- Members are welcome to bring guests to NuvoDesk daily.
- Guests may include business associates, visitors, family members, friends, or children.
- All guests must adhere to NuvoDesk policies, and members are responsible for ensuring their guests comply with these rules.
Check-In Requirements
- All guests must check in at the front desk kiosk upon arrival.
- Required guest information includes:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email Address
- Hosting Member’s Name
- After check-in, guests must remain in the lobby until greeted by the hosting member.
Pre-Registration
- Members can pre-register guests via the NuvoDesk Member Portal for a faster check-in process.
Failure to Check In
- Guests who fail to check in will be asked to leave.
- Repeated failures or policy violations may lead to consequences for the hosting member:
- First Incident: Verbal warning documented in the member’s account.
- Second Incident: Written warning issued via email.
- Third Incident: Possible membership suspension or revocation.
Additional Notes on Guest Access
Compliance
- Guests must follow all NuvoDesk policies and maintain a respectful demeanor throughout their visit.
Safety
- Guests exhibiting inappropriate behavior or failing to comply with policies may be removed immediately.
Shared Desk Members
Guest Access Time Limit
- Guests accompanying Shared Desk members may stay for up to 2 hours in the Shared Desk area.
Extended Stays
- For guests staying longer than 2 hours, members must:
- Purchase a Day Pass for the guest.
- Book a Conference Room, which accommodates multiple guests.
- Guests in a Conference Room do not require a Day Pass.
Usage Restrictions
- Shared Desk memberships are not intended to provide free coworking access to guests.
- Members must adhere to the guest time limits to maintain workspace integrity.
Children Under 14
Supervision Requirements
- Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times while on NuvoDesk premises.
Unattended Children
- Children cannot wait unattended in the lobby or any other part of the building for safety reasons.
Restroom Policy
- Children under 14 must be escorted to the restroom by a parent or guardian.
General Guest Expectations
Accompaniment
- Supervised Access – Guests must remain with their hosting members at all times during their visit.
Prohibited Areas for Unattended Guests
- Guests are not permitted to be left unattended in the following spaces:
- Shared Desk Area
- Collaboration Space
- Private Office Space
- Conference Rooms
- Video Production Room
Health and Safety
Illness Restrictions
🚫 Guests exhibiting any of the following symptoms are not permitted on NuvoDesk premises:
- Coughing or wheezing
- Fever of 100°F or higher
Professional Conduct
- Guests must adhere to all NuvoDesk policies and maintain professional behavior.
- Disruptive or inappropriate behavior may result in:
- The guest being asked to leave.
- Consequences for the hosting member (refer to the Community Policy for more details).
Building Security
Unauthorized Access
🚫 No Entry for Unknown Individuals
- Members must not allow unknown individuals to enter the building.
- All guests must follow the check-in process outlined in this policy.
Doors
🚪 Security of Entry Points
- Front doors must remain closed and locked at all times.
- Propping open doors is strictly prohibited as it poses a security risk to the NuvoDesk community.
Behavior
🚨 Guest Accountability
- If a guest:
- Becomes intoxicated
- Displays inappropriate behavior
- Violates NuvoDesk policies
- They will be immediately removed from the premises.
Hosting Member Responsibility
- The hosting member is accountable for their guest’s actions and any resulting consequences.
Violations of the Guest Policy
NuvoDesk enforces a three-strike policy for Guest Policy violations:
1️⃣ First Violation: Verbal warning documented in the member’s account.
2️⃣ Second Violation: Written warning sent via email, reminding the member of the Guest Policy.
3️⃣ Third Violation: Membership revocation initiated.
- For corporate memberships, violations will be communicated to the primary account holder.
