Roberto Rosario: Powering Growth in Texas

“I get to help people solve problems. That’s the thing that gets me out of bed every morning.”

When you sit down with Roberto Rosario, owner of Powersystems Group, you quickly realize he is not just in the power industry. He is in the people business. Yes, he supplies medium voltage equipment and distribution transformers across Texas and beyond. But at its core, his work is about clarity, communication, and doing right by customers.

And that mindset did not happen overnight.

From Electrician to Industry Leader

Roberto has spent more than 20 years in the electrical industry. He started as a journeyman electrician, working hands-on in production at a panel shop fabricator. Three years in, his career took an unexpected turn.

“Friday, I was working on production. Monday, I was a salesperson.”

It was a sharp transition. He went from building equipment to managing projects and customers almost instantly. But that is where something clicked. Roberto discovered he enjoyed the consultative side of the business. He liked asking the right questions, digging into details, and helping clients understand what they truly needed.

Over time, he noticed something in the broader power and infrastructure market. The issue was not the equipment itself. It was service.

Too many companies were falling short on communication. Orders lacked transparency. Expectations were not managed well. Customers were left guessing about timelines, logistics, and specifications.

About five years ago, Roberto founded Powersystems Group to serve the DFW area and beyond, doing things differently.

Rather than pushing products, his team focuses on being a solutions provider for the power industry. They specialize in medium voltage and distribution transformers, switchboards, and electrical equipment for data centers, oil and gas, and infrastructure projects.

His approach is simple but rare. Be consultative. Be thorough. Leave no question unanswered.

Building a Business with Discipline

If you ask Roberto what it really takes to run a company, he will not sugarcoat it.

“When people say you’re your own boss, that’s a very simplistic way to put it,” he says. “You start from zero. You have to create the structure. You have to develop your own discipline.”

He manages a team of eight people spread across Texas and other states. Talent matters, but in his view, it is not the defining factor.

“Talent is only 10 percent. The other 90 percent is discipline.”

That discipline shows up in everything. Clear communication. Detailed project management. Educating customers on complex logistics. Ensuring equipment specifications accurately match the application.

One common myth in his industry is that one piece of equipment fits every situation.

“It’s not like Amazon. You can’t just place an order and expect it in two days. There are vendors, factories, logistics, and sometimes international borders. It’s a complicated effort.”

For Roberto, educating customers is part of the service.

“Ask questions. Understand what you’re doing at 100 percent. That makes you a better team member, a better salesperson, a better person overall.”

Why NuvoDesk Made Sense

As Powersystems Group grew, Roberto needed a professional home base in Arlington, TX. He needed something flexible enough to support a largely remote team, yet polished enough to host clients and suppliers.

That is where NuvoDesk Coworking came in.

“The convenience of it being close to us and the flexibility to come and go as we need, after hours, Saturdays, and Sundays. That was important.”

With a distributed team, having a central office in the DFW area has made a real difference. NuvoDesk gives them a place to meet when team members travel to Dallas, plan projects together, and sit down with potential clients in a professional setting.

Instead of committing to a long-term commercial lease, Roberto was able to establish a presence without the heavy overhead of a three, five, or ten-year contract.

“It’s a great way to start. To have your own office, your own space, without that massive investment.”

For a growing company that is adding new product lines and expanding its solutions, flexibility matters.

A Business Built on Respect

Throughout our conversation, one theme keeps resurfacing. Respect.

Roberto credits an early mentor who shaped how he approaches business. Someone who emphasized thorough communication, setting expectations clearly, and always doing right by customers and teammates.

The advice stuck.

“Be respectful. Be honest. Have discipline. And always do right by your customers and the people on your team.”

It is not flashy advice. But it is steady. In industries where timelines are tight and projects are complex, steady wins.

Today, Powersystems Group is on a clear growth path. They are adding team members, expanding product lines, and continuing to support infrastructure projects across Texas and beyond.

If you are building something, whether it is electrical infrastructure or your own growing company, environment matters. Roberto built his business on discipline, clarity, and relationships. Having a flexible, professional workspace in Arlington, TX has given his team the foundation to keep growing.

Sometimes, the real power behind a company is not just the equipment. It is the way they treat people.
